Round Fireproof Baskets in Flame-Retardant Plastic
Round fireproof baskets are designed to provide optimal safety in environments such as hotel rooms and offices. Made from flame-retardant plastic, they offer an aesthetic and effective solution for waste management while minimizing fire risks thanks to their self-extinguishing properties.
8-Liter Capacity
With an 8-liter capacity, these baskets are ideal for daily use. Their compact size makes them perfect for use under desks or in confined spaces, while still providing enough room for common waste.
Self-Extinguishing Polypropylene
Made from V0 class self-extinguishing polypropylene, these baskets comply with the UL94 standard. This ensures they slow down the spread of flames, providing additional safety in case of fire.
Available in Multiple Colors and Shapes
In addition to the black model, the baskets are also available in beige, and in other shapes and colors to suit various environments and aesthetic preferences.
Certified by CNPP
The product is certified by CNPP, which attests to its compliance with fire safety standards, thus ensuring a high level of protection and reliability for users.
The UL94 Standard
The UL94 standard is a classification of plastic materials based on their flame behavior, established by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). It is commonly used to assess the flammability resistance of materials under specific conditions.
This standard is essential in sectors such as electronics, automotive, and industry, where fire safety is paramount.
Main Classifications
Tests according to UL94 aim to evaluate the combustion speed, the material's ability to self-extinguish, and whether flaming droplets fall. Here are the most common classifications:
Vertical Test Ratings
V-0:
- The flame extinguishes within 10 seconds after the ignition source is removed.
- No flaming droplets.
V-1:
- The flame extinguishes within 30 seconds after the ignition source is removed.
- No flaming droplets.
V-2:
- The flame extinguishes within 30 seconds.
- Flaming droplets are allowed.
Horizontal Test Ratings
HB (Horizontal Burning):
- The material burns slowly but at a controlled rate. This is the minimum rating.
Other Classifications 5VA and 5VB:
These classifications are stricter than V-0.
5VA:
- No hole is formed in the sample after the test.
5VB:
- Holes may form, but the flame extinguishes quickly.
- HF-1, HF-2 (for foams):
- Evaluate flexible polymer foams.
Test Method
Material samples are exposed to a flame for a certain time, then observed for:
- The time needed for extinction.
- The production of flaming droplets.
- The spread of the flame.
Importance The UL94 classification helps manufacturers choose materials suitable for fire safety requirements for specific applications. It is often used in conjunction with other standards, such as those from IEC or ISO, to ensure increased safety in final products.
