Horizontal Test Ratings

HB (Horizontal Burning):

• The material burns slowly but at a controlled rate. This is the minimum rating.

Other Classifications 5VA and 5VB:

These classifications are stricter than V-0.

5VA:

• No hole is formed in the sample after the test.

5VB:

• Holes may form, but the flame extinguishes quickly.
• HF-1, HF-2 (for foams):
• Evaluate flexible polymer foams.

Test Method
